This front and backyard project was constructed in April 2008 and September 2007 respectively.  With a Balinese theme in mind, we built a large koi pond that surrounds a central Balinese Pavilion (Bale).  We used the displaced earth that was retained on one side by a seating-height wall to create a small cascading waterfall. On either side of the pond a stepping stone path leads to a corner meditation hut.  Additional installations include: an Indonesian inspired planting scheme with drip irrigation; a lawn with pop-up irrigation and both low and high voltage lighting designs.

The front yard included two graduated free-standing walls that define the main entrance and an undulating berm with a drought tolerant plants and a massive accent boulder.
